Facebook Likes: How to Get More Facebook Likes Quickly

Facebook Likes...so how do you get them to build up your following quickly? Basically, you want to get more facebook likes by getting more people to "like" your page. Here are a few tips in getting your page in front of as many eyeballs as possible.

1. On your page, click on the "suggest this page to your friends" and invite all your friends to like your page. But you can only do that so often until you start to become a pest.

2. Put your fanpage as your "work" on your personal profile on facebook. Go to "edit profile" and in the work slot type your fanpage exactly as its spelled, hit the tab button and your fanpage will come on as your work. This is a GREAT way of getting fanbook likes quickly!

3. Have link to your fanpage at the end of every single email autoresponder you send out. It reinforces that you are a REAL person and people can connect with you.

4. Use SocialOomph to bring your twitter following to your fanpage for more facebook likes. SocialOomph is a twitter tool that allows you to schedule tweets and send automatic messages including a welcome message to new followers. I always put a link to my fanpage so we can move the conversation to facebook and connect better that way.

5. Put a link to your fanpage in the description of all your youtube videos. The very first thing should be a clickable link to your lead capture page, but right after, have a link to your fanpage. This is a great way of getting facebook likes quickly, especially if you have a following on youtube. People will want to connect with you after seeing and hearing you.

6. Put a facebook like box widget on your blog. That way people can like your page directly from your blog (this has gotten me facebook likes quickly) and also on your "connect with me" social icons, have it linked to your fanpage as well. I'm not saying you can't allow your followers to be your friends on your personal profile, but your profile is limited to only 5000 people so encourage them to like your fanpage.

These tips will get your facebook likes quickly but the real magic in keeping these fans, is to not treat them like fans but friends! These are people that you are building a possible business relationship with. Be just as interactive on your fanpage as you are on your profile. Ask questions, leave tips, affirmations, insights, pictures, videos, anything you can think of. I basically copy and paste what I post on my profile to my fanpage.

Your Personal Brand: How to Establish Your Persoanl Brand

http://successwithemily.com

Your Personal Brand is the heart of attraction marketing. Many people talk about establishing your personal brand, but they rarely give some good solid examples of how to do that. Here are some tips to develop your personal brand for your online home business.

1. Focus in on 3 major things about yourself that you can talk about in your blog posts and videos. For instance I love talking about nature and outdoor activities. All my other jobs didn't allow me to spend time outside but being an entrepreneur has. I love talking about health and wellness-I'm in a health and wellness business and have recovered from illness because of it. I love finding humor in everything and do it with my blog post ans videos. People will really come to recognize and like your personal brand for opening up, being honest and being you!

2. The best thing for your personal brand is to focus in on what you are trying to accomplish. Just what are you trying to do? Are you trying to make money with affiliate sales? Are you trying to help others with their mlm business? Are you trying to get clients for your SEO business? Nailing this down early on will give you clarity and momentum in your business, but be sure to be developing your skills to get results so that you can teach others the same.

3. Speak in your own voice! How do I sound to you when you listen to me? Do I sound like a sales person or a friend? I call a group of people yall and that's what I do in my videos. I've got my own dialect, I've got my own way of telling stories and getting points across. That's what you should do for your personal brand. I'm also not a business suit type of gal. I'm much more of a....sit in a field of flowers type of gal:-) Yes, be professional but be your unique self.

4. And there are other nitty gritty things like the font and colors you use on your blog, but those will come later and aren't that important for now. Just make sure you're doing the above for your personal brand.

5. And lastly, which ties it all together is to be consistent! If you keep changing, your blog up, if you keep changing business plan up, if you keep changing your company or worse yet, you do nothing at all, you are going anywhere. Your personal brand will be unclear if anything. Make out your business plan and stick to it to keep your personal brand and business in front of as many eyeballs as possible.

Well, I hope this give you some ideas about how to establish your personal brand. If you felt helped, please give the video a thumbs up or "like" it and please share this with all your friends! Be sure to get my free gift at http://successwithemily.com

Why Supplement?

You've heard it. "Why do I need to supplement my diet with vitamins?" "It's just expensive urine."  "If I eat an apple a day I should be good right?"  "I all ready eat healthy, I don't need vitamins" "We're all gonna' die anyway..." blah, blah, blah, etc. so on and so forth.

A friend once sent me a joke through email that said, "Asians eat more vegetables and fish than Americans, drink less alcohol and suffer fewer heart attacks." Then it when on to say "The French eat more fat, drink much more alcohol and smoke ten times more than Americans and suffer fewer heart attacks. So the point of the story is, eat and do what you like, it's speaking English that is killing you."

I laughed at the time but realized it's no joke. Just why is it that we, the people of the United States, seem to have such poor health when we are supposed to be the richest nation on earth?  As holistic Dr.Mark Hyman says, "unless you are eating chemical and pesticide free food in fertile soil from an organic farm, drinking pure chemical free water, getting the basic daily nutrient and fiber requirements, eat meat and dairy that is free of antibiotics and hormones and getting 8 hours of sleep a night, then you don't need vitamins."  Do any of you fit this category?

Dr. Shaklee lived that way, and he still supplemented.  When he was not that much younger than I am now, the doctors told him with his illness, he would not live to be 30.  He died at the healthy age of 91 in 1985.

It's really not an option anymore.  People today HAVE to supplement. Why? We need to because of the circumstances we live with. Let's go back in history for a little bit around the time of the Great Depression. After the horrible droughts, the "Dust Bowl" and then the economy crash when farmers couldn't sell their land and ended up leaving the property, the art of Agriculture was then abandoned for "Agribusiness."  Practices of harvesting to produce the highest quality food was then abandoned to produce the highest quantity. Land is reused over and over again with out giving it time to replenish by crop rotation. Before food has a chance to ripen and get the most amount of nutrients from the soil, it is picked too early so that it can be shipped off far away because no one has their own garden anymore...and not to mention the number of toxic chemicals and pesticides we use to save crops from insects. Unfortunately they're not so great for human beings either. This has been a perpetual problem since then.

And for those who say "I eat organic, so I'm ok." Well, unfortunately what is considered "organic" maybe not completely true. For some organic farms, they will use pesticides and chemicals in the water they use for the crops but as long as it is not sprayed directly onto the produce, it is considered "organic."  Some organic farms are now using genetically modified (Franken-food) seeds as well but it is ok as long as they adhere to the practices of "organic farming." So if you are on a completely organic diet and are still experiencing deficiencies and problems then your diet is incomplete and you need to supplement.

The problem with our American diets is that our land is exhausted of nutrients.  That is not to say that other counties have never suffered famine.  The Great Potato Famine starved Ireland, and several who survived ended up coming to the U.S. To say it simply, we just are not getting the amount of nutrients to our bodies that we are supposed to get. Notice that I said "supposed to" because it's not a matter of opinion.  We all need the same basic nutrients and we need alot of it!  Now in the last post I told you how I was making all the right decisions as far as diet but was still deficient.  It's because it was incomplete.  I needed to supplement.

This however is not our only problem.  In the U.S. we consume more sugar, the wrong kind of fats, empty calorie foods than any other nation. We have extremely addicting preservatives such as high fructose corn syrup, refined, processed sugar, extra added caffeine and hydrogenated oils that produce free radicals that damage the cells in our bodies.  We put more and more demands on our bodies for work, our families, etc, which requires more nutrition, yet we get less and less.  It takes one deficiency to throw your body out of whack.  Most Americans have at least two or more.

I don't say this to scare anybody, but you are probably already aware of the problem and would like to know what to do about it.  If you are like me, you are probably trying to do what I did back in 2005. Eat the best you know how.  So what are we all supposed to do?

1. Eat the best you know how-you know what I'm talking about. Eat your fruits and vegetables, whole grains, raw nuts, fresh meat and fish.  Don't eat junk food. Dr. Hyman says, "there's no such thing as junk food. There is food and then there is junk." Remember this-when you go into the grocery store, shop the perimeter of store. That's where the produce, deli and bakery are. If you are worried about pesticides on your produce, wash them in the sink with water and Shaklee Basic H.

2. Don't smoke or drink excessive alcohol.

3. Try to restrict medications. I know that sometimes we have medical emergencies that require immediate attention but if you are having a problem, research ways on how to treat it naturally.

4. Exercise-human beings are meant to move. We'll talk more about this later.

5. Supplement your diet. With what?  Shaklee is the brand that I use. Why? Because ever since Dr. Shaklee created one of the first multivitamin in 1915, they have continued to pioneer products and have been extremely strict with themselves making sure that they adhere to true science (not fads) and that what you see on the label is what's in the bottle, making every single product naturally safe AND proven effective. And not to mention that they are 100% Guarantee. So if for some reason you don't like them after 30 days, you get your money back. That's reason enough just to try them!

Please don't go buy the cheapest brand you can find at the grocery store or Wal-Mart.  If you want the highest quality from a company that has been researching and making people healthier for the past 54 years, then why not Shaklee? Find out more about Shaklee at http://recover.myshaklee.com.

At the beginning of this post I mentioned some of the excuses people give and probably the number one excuse I hear is that "I can't afford it."  Now that is a very understandable excuse and I have been in that situation myself. But maybe there are ways of redirecting your spending that you could try so that you can afford the nutritional support you need. Look at what you're spending now. Do you go get chips, candy, snacks or a $1.25 Coke everyday at the vending machine at work?  Are you one of those people that must have Starbucks every morning?

Most Americans will spend, on average, about $200 a month on things they really don't need.  Now the Shaklee Wellness Pack, that contains all the essential daily nutrients, plus Energizing Soy Protein, and the finest product in immune health, Nutriferon, runs for about $150 a month for members.  That's about $5 a day.  You'd be lucky to walk out of Starbucks for less.

If you really want to feel better then make your health a priority and see what changes you can make that will in the end be for the best.  You deserve it and you'll be happy about the decision you made.

True health and happiness to you,
Emily

The History Behind the Name

Now I don't claim to be an expert on health, but I have learned a thing or two along the way about my body and what it means to be healthy. In 2003 I came down with bronchitis which lingered for over 2 months. I was 21 years old, working full time as a waitress, taking two internet classes, and preparing to leave home for the first time to start at a university. Very exciting! I also might add that I was a Theatre Arts major. For those of you who were ever involved in theatre or knew someone who was, you know how incredibly fun but physically taxing it can be.

It was during that time I became sick and for the next two years at the university, there was never time to rest and re cooperate. You mix exhaustion, stress, poor immunity, loss of weight, lack of sleep and a poor diet and you get what I was...I big mess. But then I graduated! What a joy to finally reach that goal and the excitement created a little energy for the next couple of months as I went straight to work to pay off my one student loan of $1000. Not a big problem there!

But as the months went by, so did my stamina. The whole time I was in school I thought to myself, "It's ok, once I'm out of school, I'll feel much better and I'll continue on with my life." Here it was six months later and I wasn't felling any better. In fact, I felt much worse. But I was making changes. I ate a healthy diet of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, fish, etc., I finally got to rest, and I would go walking everyday....so why would a "healthy," 24 year old woman, who is making all the right decisions, who never once smoked, never took drugs or drank alcohol, be in that state? And by that I mean that I continued to lose muscle weight, I had chronic fatigue, painful joints, headaches, "night terrors," acne, and falling hair, just to name a few of my symptoms.

As you may have noticed, I use the word "Recover" alot. It's in the url of my personal website, it's the name of this website, and in this blog you probably noticed that the url says "Emily's recovery." In the dictionary the word "recover" means: [to bring back to a normal position or condition]. So in other words to be "healthy" is to have a body that works normally-the way it's supposed to. To have a normal body is to be healthy. Now I've had some people tell me that they can only have a bowel movement once a week. "Well, that's just normal for me"-they say. That may be what you're use to, but that is neither normal or healthy! What does it mean to be normal? We'll talk about that. It's what this blog is all about.

Now personally, I associate "cures" with miracles. I do believe in miracles but I don't believe that man has a way of curing disease. I do believe that man is able to recover his health by using the resources that nature provides us. It is the body that fights disease, but that is not a new discovery. The Asians have always believed that if you treat the body instead of the disease, the body will fight the disease. It's your body that does the work. Nutrition gives your body the ammo to fight it.

That is what I did. I recovered my body to a normal state. Now I didn't have a particular disease, (the doctors would say "you're just sick and tired") but I had deficiencies that would have eventually led to disease. Knowing that, it truly was a blessing that I became so sick and turned myself around at such a young age, so that I can live out my life healthy! However, to recover health is not a permanent thing...it's not a cure. Just as you have to maintain your car to get optimum usage out of it, so you must also with your body. But you can always replace your car...you only get one body. It has to be maintained and if you're not willing to do that, you'll have problems sooner or later. I once heard that "health is not a destination, it's a journey." I couldn't agree more. Be patient. Take the time necessary to recover your health and don't forget to smell the roses on your way.

Although all of us are different and have unique and individual needs, there is a common group of nutrients that we all need. Once I learned that I got serious about getting the right nutrition. At 24 I felt like a tired, spent, almost old. I'm now 27 and I feel stronger and healthier than I did in high school. I even went to Glacier National Park in the summer of 2007 and hiked over 80 miles. It was only a year before that I had trouble walking up the stairs...one year later I was climbing mountains. If you are familiar with a mountainous landscape, you would know how much stamina you need for it.

It is my intention to help everyone who reads this blog find healthier and simpler solutions to recovering their health to be truly healthy. However I can only give you the information-getting healthy is really up to you. You have the power! Take control of your life and your health and welcome to the journey...it starts today!

I look forward to talking to you!
True health and happiness to you,
Emily
